Curated By Young People

During the project weeks, young people from local schools discussed the topic of freedom in great detail. The result was a series of incredible stories about imprisonment, having the courage to tell the truth and surveillance. These stories formed a base for films, codes, exhibits and even the design of each room.

In their role as curators, the pupils also debated how they can introduce new points of view to exhibition visitors and how they can use the ideas behind existing escape rooms in conjunction with freedom.

The end product saw five escape rooms designed around the idea of (lack of) freedom. From 4th September 2019, these escape rooms were opened to the public, who were invited to play along and think about their own concepts of freedom.
