Designing an exhibition for children and families, from the initial concept to the first opening, is a highly enjoyable task. How to best use space and creating atmospheres was always something I enjoyed doing. Each new exhibition involves finding a suitable room, which allows you to break down a complex topic in such a way that means our guests will view various objects and phenomena differently, while also having fun. I would feel as though something was missing if I wasn't able to lead these processes which enthrall both children and adults and help them expand their views and knowledge of the world.

The opportunities for contact with various people is one of my favourites aspects of my job. Whether it be the schools classes and families who visit us or the volunteers, trainees and short-term employees who help me to guide visitors around the museum, it's always great to meet so many interesting people. As a museum educator, I can use my knowledge and experience in helping to develop exhbition concepts and bring them to life. One of the most challenging parts is when an exhibition is ready to welcome guests for the first time and seeing what they think. The best praise is always when visitors come out of the exhibition with lots of questions and a desire to find out more.

As an architect and a culture manager I love thinking in many different directions and contexts and am always keen to learn new things. That's why I work developing fresh ideas in the Alice Museum For Children from the beginnings of an exhibition to the set-up and management. It's a great job, not least because of my inspiring colleagues. The enjoyment and interest of the visitors and partners that come to the exhibition is also something which is very rewarding.
