Welcome To The Alice Museum In The FEZ - Berlin's Children's Museum

Susi & Us is recommended for ages 10 and up and for pupils from classes 5 to 10.

You won't find any 'don't touch' signs here. That's because being hands on is actively encouraged - that's how children learn best. Actively asking questions about the things they experience in the museum and about unusual things hidden in daily life is a good thing. In the Alice Museum, we hope children will be able to discover the answers to many of their questions by actively participating. Let's go - we look forward to seeing you!

Susi & Us: To Look Or To Look Away

An exhibition based on the book "Susi, die Enkelin von Haus Nummer 4" by Birgitta Behr.

Social engagement and civil courage require bravery. This exhibition deals with the question of whether we should look or look away -  a question equally as relevant today as in the past. The focus of the exhibition is the true story of the Jewish girl, Susi Collm, who from 1942 until 1945 was forced into hiding by the Nazis. A series of unique approaches via film, audio, light and architecture create the space for an active confrontation with the Nazi period as well as examples of civil courage along with exclusion and anti-semitism today and in the past.

3rd Place At The Children in Museums Awards

In 2023, the Alice Museum at the FEZ Berlin was delighted to take part in the Children In Museums Awards and achieve 3rd place with its "Susi & Us – To Look Or To Look Away" exhibition.
Head of the jury, Leigh-Anne Stradeski praised the "Susi & Us" for being a courageous and important exhibition. Our congratulations goes to the overall winner: the Tokyo Toy Museum in Japan.

GREEN PLANET BERLIN. The Research Lab For A Sustainable Future

The preparations for our new exhibition are underway. During the course of 2024, children and young people are taking part in 10 workshops to research a range of topics relating to climate protection, sustainability and town planning. Then in 2025, our new GREEN PLANET BERLIN exhibition will open its doors in the Alice Museum.
